It was a safe choice where he wouldn't face unrealistic expectations and kept him in the geographic region he wanted to be in. Also more money and better conference.

He'll never win anything there. Middle of the pack at best. The only advantage is money. Conference doesn't matter when you're Washington. When these conferences realign, boise is gonna be in the pac12 anyhow.

I think that would be their only chance but it's a longshot. They aren't close to top 15 talent-wise so no one will want to see them in.
