I know we've done favorite Christmas songs, but some just go better with some of the different festivities that are going on during Christmas. We've got a family get together planned for this Saturday at the lake. It's my side (Panhandle Reds) so there'll be gag gifts, most all in poor taste or embarrassing, and plenty of hooch. Robert Earl Keene wrote a song about it...

At some point, I'll reflect on Christmases past and play my favorite song from my teenage years when I realized becoming an adult meant having to give up much of your youthful naivete...

Music seems to have the power to lighten the mood or extend the low. However you choose, it can really provide a great backdrop to any situation and amazingly attaches memories to its notes and melodies that can be recalled as needed. Please add if you are so inclined.

My All Time Top 5:

1. Please come home for Christmas - The Eagles (any other version sucks).
2. Christmas Wrapping - The Waitresses.
3. Christmas is the time to say I love you - Billy Squire.
4. 12 days of Christmas - Bob & Doug MacKinzie.
5. Father Christmas - The Kinks.

There are a couple of new ones I heard last year, but I’ll have to look them up later.

Walking round in womens underwear
The restroom door said gentlemen
But in all reality Trans Siberian and Mannheim Steamroller work for me.
