I love this board. I've never been on one that seems to have as many opinionated yet informed followers of all things involving Gator football or at least it seems that way to me. Anyhow I just have to ask a question that's been bothering me since reading all the practice updates....Where is Andre Debose ??? And in the long run do any of you think he has a noticeable season this year ? If so will it be limited to strictly a specialist on KO returns, or is there more ? I hate to say it but I;m wondering if the offseason build up to his return is no different that that of Jeremy Brown from the last couple of years.

I think he missed one practice due to graduating but I remember reading in one of the practices they were using him on a bunch of sweeps etc.

The boot was a ploy. Andre actually has been on a secret body=shaping routine and not rehabbing injuries. He is now up to 315 lbs of solid muscle and will be working primarily with special teams as the long-snapper for the punt team. This will prove to be his breakout year.

He's cleared for full contact, but I get the impression he's being handled with kid gloves. He's a 8th year RS Senior, he doesn't need a lot of practice.

In all seriousness, the coaches are limiting his reps. He simply doesn't have the opportunities the others have.

What about actually catching passes, the only one I remember hearing about he dropped.

He's an awesome kick returner, hopefully he can stay healthy this year.

I thought I kind of said that...:dunno:

He's a great kick returner, nothing more. (Not that it isn't enough.) Trying to make him into a receiver is a waste of time.

He and Driskel graduated on sat so he was given the day off, right now he's out with swelling in his knee should be back in a day or two. He's done allright by all indications, JC and Navet are right they're limiting his work.

He and JD are specializing in 20 yd. races this year for the track team.

Does this make you wonder about how effective he will be going forward though. He hasn't really played any meaningful football in 2 years. I think I'd be making him do a few more reps to shake the rust off and see if his knee will hold up. If not can he really be counted on ? BTW, I'm not hating on the guy, I'm just starting to wonder.

If he stays healthy and stays on the coaches' good sides he will do very well at WR. You guys that don't believe that are kidding yourselves.

Well, take a look at the guys who don't believe that and tell me if you're shocked at the names you see.

I never understood the Percy comparison. I thought his ability and body type was more like desean Jackson. I'm not saying he's as good by any means I'm just saying if he stayed healthy and hit his full potential that would be a more suitable comparison

In his last year that he actually played (and was healthy), he caught three catches for 15 yards. In the last 5 years, he has a total of 500 yards receiving.

Yeah, he's probably going to be an all American this year, because this is the year he will finally figured it out. Unless he's hurt. Like today.

Informed? I think you've got this place all wrong.

I made eight quarts of Bolognese sauce last Sunday and I've been force feeding it to myself like a goose, gavage-style, for the last week. I have maybe a pint left, but I'm going to need to give up on it before I get sick. But boy was it deeleeeshees.
    Any secret ingredients?

We cut down a medium sized tree and I put the logs on FB as unseasoned firewood for free just to keep us from lugging them to the back pasture and burn. A Ukrainian guy responded and I was thankful. They are always hardworking and responsive as opposed to most that say they will show up but don’t.
I’ve got a hunch that if I advertised “free wood” on FB, I’d get a very different response.

Im not a fan of either team but Sean Payton should be in jail not coaching. Love how the NFL has just forgotten what he did in NO

The only legit call the refs made on that drive was the roughing the passer. Both PI were bs.
  • Born2beagator Born2beagator:
If you are gonna call that last one PI you should have called the "interception" a PI
