I voted 60-79. I'm thinking we'll be just under 400 a game, which puts us in that range. I also looked at Mullen's first year at MSU and they were 65th. I think QB play won't be good but it won't be as awful either, so even with barely average QB play, there is enough talent at WR and RB to make this a barely average offense.
Don't disagree with this, but did we see that in the spring game?

Because I want people to actually try and be honest on these polls, otherwise they are useless. Anyone picking "1-19" would be a lying, trolling slimebag that probably tortures animals.

We are going 14-0!

Yes. You have to keep in mind that this was a brand new playbook for everyone. With team-lead practices in the summer and fall camp, there will be some improvement just because they will be a little more comfortable with the new offense then. The O-line will benefit the most from finally having a strength and conditioning program. This will help the running game, which will also help the QB's.

The rankings based on yards, not points.

Discuss.

You really nailed the choices on this one:

1. The last two years Mullen's offenses have ranked 52nd and 58th in yards.

2. His first year at Miss State Mullen improved the prior year 115th rank offense by about 104 yards per game to a rank of 64th.

3. UF's offense was 110th last year. A 104 yards per game improvement would put UF at about 30th this year.

I am going to guess that UF will improve by about 64 yards per game this season and rank in the low 60s.

Picked 80-99, every year I expect significant offensive improvement, and every year is a let down. I say play the freshman and hope he don’t get killed, let him go through the struggles and learning curve this year so that it will pay off the following year, leading to the offense finally turning the corner in what has been an abysmal decade for Florida football.

Points win games. Not yards or TOP.
Don't make me ban you for being insulting. I know that points win games, asshat.

However, I personally judge offenses in yards gained, not points scored. Points can be scored in all kinds of ways that don't reflect moving the ball up and down the field.

If TLB was still here, he would have lectured me harshly on not including last year's numbers when I started the thread, so here they are:

111th (336 yards/game)

An improvement of 75 yards a game would put UF at 56th.

I continue to hope in one hand and sh!t in the other. So far since about 2008, I’ve just got several handfuls of sh!t. That’d be great if I was Zambo.

Where’d TLB go?

After he went ballistic that I didn’t include the time of the Spring Game when I started the game thread, he never returned. I guess that’s what finally sent him over the edge.
