Denver to pay United Airlines pilot $300G after wrongful arrest on indecent exposure charge

Another perverted pilot defeats the legal system. @Zambo, I’m sure this is just SOP, right? Who doesn’t expose themself to the airport they just flew in on? What does it say about pilots when they aren’t even smart enough to figure out that you can see through glass? Fantastic defense though.
Are you just trying as hard as possible to be a douche canoe on purpose?

Stop getting naked in front of people and thinking its acceptable. And you need to trim that gut - doesn’t photo well.

How you planning to spend the $300k?

I don't quite get the outrage here: seems like a just result.

The guy might not have been too smart in not realizing he could be seen; but it's not criminal activity and the justice system exists to hold people accountable for mistakes. The cops were clearly lying on the stand (why the case fell apart) and the pilot was unjustly detained and charged. Part of why people can seek legal settlement is to right a wrong and to deter conduct. If paying $300k out of an insurance fund forces Denver cops to think twice about inventing charges and wrongfully detaining someone, then it's cheap at the price.

This could have been avoided if the cops had shown up and said "yo numbnuts: everyone can see you...put on some pants or close the damn blinds." No settlement and the issue gets resolved right then and there to everyone's satisfaction.
