I'm about 50% LED now. I watch for deals on Amazon.

I definitely prefer LED to those CFLs. They are actually a little more energy efficient but they have full light immediately. Most importantly they last forever so I now have them in all my high ceiling lights. I got the BR30 Philips bulbs not too long ago clearances at Home Depot for $3 a bulb.

$10/month indefinitely seems like a rip.
I was under the impression that some surge suppression equipment was installed .

Do I have to be Home for the Installation?
No, unless your electric meter, cable TV or phone lines are inaccessible from outside. Your power, phone and cable TV will be disconnected for a brief period of time during installation. Electronic clocks will have to be reset after the installation is complete.
