Why are people getting banned and threads getting closed?

Geez guys. Every time someone gets a temporary vacation people start screaming and shouting about some kind of unfairness.

To be fair, Ox just WARNED EVERYONE REPEATEDLY NOT TO POST NAKED WOMEN, and Caitsquash only posted naked men. He clearly didn't get fair warning. :rolleyes:

I'm surprised Lboy and Gaturfever haven't started a WH or Moveon petition already.

Squash got banned like 30 times on the old board. I'm sure he can take it like a man.

Actually, if you noticed a while back, Ox cracked down on those pictures of women too. He opened up the Saloon where the rules are relaxed a little (still no porn allowed though), for a small site support donation. What Sas posted would have got him banned even if they'd been pictures of girls. They were too NSFW to be posted in the sports forum, much less a whole thread page full of them (about 4-5 if my memory is not totally off).

I think the name of the Saloon should be changed to Semi Naked Chicks Lounge.

If there is a thread of half nekkid ladies and you want to look at it or post in it, fine with me. But don't put half nekkid men in it. That's hijacking a thread and it's not nice.

Don't get me wrong. If you want to post pictures of half nekkid men, fine with me too. Start a half nekkid men thread and post in it to your heart's content. People that want to look at it can look at it. People that don't, won't. See how that works?

Just don't violate the Forum rules. The rules are there so we can have nice things.

The only reason to post a half nekkid man in a half nekkid woman thread is to be confrontational. And vice versa. Save that confrontational crap for the Political Forum.

Look, if SQ or Sas want to object to half nekkid lady threads, that's not unreasonable. They can write in that thread that everybody looking at the thread is a creepy fat degenerate dirty old man objectifying women. Fine. But don't post pictures of half nekkid men.

If SQ or Sas want to start a half nekkid men thread, then by the same token MJM can go in there and post that he thinks the pictures are repulsive. But he shouldn't post pictures of half nekkid women in THAT thread.

Make sense? Nobody should be forced to look at something they don't want to look at. Don't like the thread topic? Don't click on the thread.

My point is that good fences make good neighbors. If everybody was a little more tolerant and respectful of everybody else's boundaries, we could spend more time ripping on our rivals and less time ripping each other.

If everyone is so against it, why does everyone keep bringing it up? If you don't want to see it, then don't talk about. Pretty simple if you ask me.

So basically it's ok to talk about gays, even Fags as I've seen people use this language, but it's bannable to give imagery to what is being said? That thread was just as offensive as the pictures could have been yet Ox allowed the thread. Maybe the OP should have been given a vaca as well?

People around here must not be comfortable with their sexuality if seeing some pictures of gay men offends them, afraid it's going to rub off or something. People need to get the fuvk over themselves. Don't start dumbass threads and you won't get the visuals to go along with them.
