Now that it's obvious Napier will be back, will he be forced to hire an OC? The rumor was that was one of the stipulations for him coming back. Is that still on the table or ? I think we could absolutely scary next year if we give a legit OC full reign of the offense.

Who would you guys hire?

Someone recommended Kevin Wilson on another board. I'd like to see us get someone with some age to em that ain't gonna get hired away after one year and could be a staple for a long time.

Kevin Wilson was decent but Retard isnt suddenly running read option and sideways passing.

I heard he might turn to his mentor Butter teeth, since he'll be available after this season. LOL
This might be more likely than we think. Retard doesn't reach far from his tree generally. That or some intern from Lafayette.

I think he's probably won enough games to stick to the"process". So I don't expect us to hire one. Just wondering the vibe everyone else was getting .

I have the same vibe I've always had.

Dumb people don't know they are stupid. He thinks he is doing great and you are SUPPOSED to try to win 21-17.

One more pretend "co-OC" won't change a thing.

100%.

Based on a three game winning streak to end the season - I’m tempting fate here by assuming next week is a “W” - Billy is going to take it as affirmation that he does not need an OC.

On another note, why not think big and instead of discussing some fired loser HC like Wilson from the college ranks, go for the gold and try for Brian Daboll after the Giants can his a$$ soon. I doubt even an NFL team would consider him OC materia anymorel and since Satan ain't coaching anymore there goes the off field analyst opportunity.

Daboll fits the scheme unfortunately he wasn't much better than Billy as an OC.

Because Daboll was ass at Alabama. And kevin Wilson was a stud at Oklahoma and Ohio state.

And Kevin Wilson would be cheap since he just got fired as HC from somewhere
He would have to be very cheap. Remember one of the primary things was the buy out being so high. So if we are waiting so save 7 million, you can't go out and hire a good OC for 1.5 mil a year and they are going to demand 3-4 year contract with Billy's nuclear seat.

Nope. He’s too set in his ways and our weak AD won’t make him do it.
I actually disagree with this. Stricklin knows he dodged a bullet (possibly literally), he's scared to come out of his house. Forcing an OC on Billy at this point might be something he does to try and keep his job by showing his superiors he tried everything.

Billy also knows he's lucky to have a job. Hence, he may also feel he has no choice - the 4th year is usually when we fire failures. His 9 lives have been used up.

Now, would it be a QUALITY OC? That I have serious doubts about.
