Interesting stat #1: the ranking Committee got the WCWS exactly right. The top 8 National Seeds were the 8 teams that advanced to the WCWS.
Interesting stat #2: of the four opening round matchups, the odd seed won each of those games. 1,3,5,7 all advanced to the winner's bracket, while 2,4,6,8 all lost.

I still think it's lame that while 5 of the 8 teams in the WCWS are SEC, did they really have to push 4 of the 5 into one half of the bracket? I know it's predetermined and all but I would have liked to see the Gators play teams they haven't before.
