In the box, I was talking about the short Netflix series called Song Exploder. They do an unbelievable good job. I was always disappointed they only did a handful of episodes. Anyway... I discovered it's more of a podcast. And a damn good one. Check out this list of episodes:
Listened to the Foo Fighters - The Teacher and Paramore - Liar episodes. It's a good podcast to listen to if you like to hear how a song came into existence.
I listened to the Natalie Merchant episode because CD and Deet instantly bailed. It's actually not bad. 95% of these musicians are nut jobs... she's no exception. Her take on women's rights, feminism, and covid are hysterically laughable..... but you have to look through it and recognize the show for what it is: how did this song happen?
