I went to Stonehenge once. I don't recommend it.

It's in the middle of nowhere, a couple hours drive from London if I remember correctly. The stones are roped off so you can't get close to them anyway. Not roped off like a couple of feet back, but more like 30 feet back.Need details

I think that's the only time you are allowed past the ropes. When it isn't the solstice it looks like this:I don't remember it being roped off when I went a long time ago but some idiot probably tried to push one over. Just a bunch of rocks in a field. We happened to visit during summer solstice.
