Not all of us'Ol Sec now pretending he was joking. My friend, we're all just hoping you can make it to the Utah game without slitting your wrists.

Just checked Rivals. Ten SEC teams have at least one commit in the top 250 including every team in the West and Georgia, Tennessee and Missouri in the East. Top 250 commitments from notable teams that also have a first year coach.
Notre Dame - 8 (4 in top 100)
LSU - 4 (2 in top 100)
USC - 3 (all 3 in top 100)
I was led to believe no one had any commits yet. Nothing like a dose of reality.
You guys are effing ridiculous.

I simply posted current commit stats. Where was I critical? And to your question, I was most definitely in the burn it to the ground camp when it came to Mullen. That said, like you I'm still quite hopeful. Just pointing out the hill we have to climb. If I remember correctly, when some of us were having reservations about us dropping several of our previously committed prospects and watching them flip elsewhere, concerned not only for that particular class but for the health of our relationships with those HS’s going forward, weren’t you were one of those on the “burn it to the ground/I love this approach” train? Kind of hard to now be critical when we find ourselves at this juncture.
Ftr, I’m ok with where we’re at because I’m generally hopeful at this point. Just not sure you can laud the approach in December and question it in April.
You listed schools like LSU and USC who have only two or three recruits themselves. THEY have a hill to climb, too. 75+% of the top 250 haven't committed to anyone yet.I simply posted current commit stats. Where was I critical? Elite kids don’t commit in April. They commit in the summer or later. Always been this way. And now adding in NIL makes it more if a dance. People forgot what it was like to recruit top kids.
BN isn’t focusing on top 250. He’s focusing on top 100. Bama only has one of the top 100 players committed. Does anybody really think that’s going to hold?
No I get that. I basically posted the same above. My point was to what I took as criticism of where we’re at currently after being a proponent of the whole Gibson approach(pipe down, neteng). If it all made sense then, then it should all make sense now. Or the opposite. I just mentioned what I felt were inconsistencies.
Yeah. I didn’t mean to quote you. I meant to quote YL. I obviously suck at quoting.
Sure they do. Point is, looks like they've at least started the climb, while we're still at the base. It is what it is at this point. I'm very encouraged by what Billy and team are doing. They sure seem to be hitting the trail harder than we've seen in over a decade around here. Just haven't see any results yet. I'll be thrilled to post updated stats highlighting all the top 100 and top 250 recruits that commit to us when it happens. You listed schools like LSU and USC who have only two or three recruits themselves. Also, 50+% of the idiots that are already committed this early will end up flipping somewhere else.
They do if they want great talent to follow them.Elite kids don’t commit in April.
