This article is crazy.
I’ll remove any political commentary. There’s a small part on marching for BLM. But it’s small and really has no bearing on the article.
The Florida Gators seemed to be in good hands under Mullen- until they weren't. And the downward spiral was worse than many may have thought.

Thanks for posting.
As hard as the dysfunction is to stomach as Gator fan, intellectually I can't disbelieve any of it. What we all saw in the competition between Franks and Trask was really a symptom of everything else that was wrong. I disagree with you a bit on the BLM thing. It's a small part of the story, but an instructive one. Politics aside, the coaches, starting with Mullen should have had the sense to realize that what was going on that summer might be a huge issue with the majority of the football team. And him not having the sense to reign in Hevesy and Granthem on that issue, and others, signed his own death warrant. Does anyone think that Saban and most other P5 HC's didn't know what do in that situation? In the end it was just one more nail in the coffin, but like most of the rest of Mullen's issues, they were self-inflicted wounds. (Apologies for the mixing of metaphors there.)
One would have thought that having been an SEC coach for several years, and previously being on the staff at UF, would have prepared him better for the nature of the job, but clearly it did not. The fact that Granthem and Hevesy could treat him that way (and Knox for God's sake!) and yet he still brought them with him from MSU speaks volumes.
He may not be the man to bring UF back to the glory days, but I am confident in predicting we'll never see an article like that about Billy Napier.
