It's a perfect example of how Deion is nothing but window dressing pretending to be a coach. He doesn't know the players, he doesn't know the offense, he doesn't know the defense. During that Oregon game, he didn't even have the microphone at his lips, he wasn't speaking to anyone else on the staff. He just stood there for 3 hours.

He basically thinks he can just hire coordinators to do everything and his mere presence will lift teams to a higher level. He's not long for this profession.
The equivalent of a famous person adding their name to a restaurant…

Yeah, didn't work for Herm Edwards either.

Herm Edwards was Vince Lombardi in comparison, in terms of knowing a little something about the game.

Deion figures his aura will land great recruits, and his assistants will do all the work. That model will burn out the moment he starts losing. He’s started losing.

Glad to see that someone else noticed his lack of engagement in the heat of the game.
He’s duplicating the approach of his mentor Bowden who rarely even wore a headset during the games.

I have said this before but I believe that there are many forces behind the scenes that support Coach Sanders and want to see him succeed and they will “help” him recruit via NIL.
I hope I am wrong.

Well Shyt.

Guess I'm gonna have to give him props for this one. BUT THAT'S IT. What will be interesting to watch is how the media will react, report on it, and the fallout if any.

Listen...the guy is a showboat but doesn't talk **** about other coaches/teams, doesn't cuss, is a man of God and tries to better kids that likely have zero to no chance in life. Oh, and at the moment, he despises FSU. If you're being honest with yourself, he's hated because of the constant media attention and flashiness.

That being said, he needs to get his players in line with all the pregame ****-talking.

A "man of God" should try humbling himself from time to time. He gets the constant media attention because of his schtick. Also, the only kids he tries to "better" are those he thinks could help him win. He flushed the entire Colorado roster.

I also don't think he hates FSU at all. If they offered him that job, he would leap at it.

I would love for the media to suck off our program the way they are doing Colorado, this will be the worse roster he will see. Again, he's loud and flashy and the cameras are attracted to it, he is gaming the system.

Everything I've read and heard, I'm no so sure on the last statement

Eisen is an idiot if he thinks the Clowns seriously considered, or even should have seriously considered, hiring Sanders as their HC back in December of 2019. Coming out of the WiLLLLLLLie debacle was not the time to take a chance on hiring a guy with, at that time, zero college coaching experience (and only a few years of HS coaching experience). That's the kind of foolish gamble that rightfully gets ADs fired. Norvell was viewed as an up and comer who had done a very good job at a G5 program. Norvell was a far safer choice and thus far they are probably pretty happy with him.

I guarantee the second FSU gets back to losing (like they should have last weekend), and their fans will be begging for Sanders. If for some reason they do land him, God help our recruiting in the state, he will put everyone in Florida on recruiting life support.

Perhaps, initially. But if he really is a disconnected coach with inadequate management, and they lose often enough, he won't cut it long term. I don't see Norvell leaving any time soon. Need them to lose with Norvell, nonetheless.
