Any thoughts on Amaris Williams? The below story claims the bucknuts are making a hard run at him.

I think Ohio State is a New Offer with him.

I think with the players that we’re recruiting, we’re always going to have schools trying to take them.

Nobody was trying to take players that we recruited under Mullen and McElwain.

One would think that a player wouldn’t be interested in an offer now since it clearly means that he was down their list a bit but we have no idea what the offer includes so who knows.

@GatorJ Do we have any highly rated Olinemen on the radar for 24? 25? I don't see much on the roster. Any smoke on going to the transfer portal again for the big uglies?

Looking good. Hope they all stick. Also hoping BN realizes his success depends on recruiting, and recruiting depends on what he does on the field, then does what it takes to make the on-field product be what players want to be part of.
I really think you should email him and mention this. It could really help with the overall trajectory of the program.

Yeah. We have one already in Fletcher Westphal. Mike Mascoll is considered talented as well. He’s just not rated very high.

And we’re in it for 5* OT Jordan Seaton. He’ll be at the Vandy game. Alabama leads for him. Pretty significantly.

I don't email staff, I text and Billy returns the call immediately, even in-game. I got this.
So our garbage offense is all your fault?

Looks like Adarius Hayes, our 4* LB commit had decided to not be in Gainesville for the game this weekend and will instead be at miami for their games against GTech. Awesome.

This is why a “process” doesn’t work.

So what?

I know the narrative is that our outstanding class is going to flee like rats and we should be hand-wringing in advance, but so far none of that has happened. These guys take visits to other schools all the time. If I was him, I wouldn’t want to go to a Vandy game either.

Because this is how it happens. It’s why you can’t put garbage on film 4 out of 5 Saturdays, lose in embarrassing fashion and have national media calling you out. Recruiting is about momentum. Case in point, look at how we started trending in late 2005, specifically ending on a high note against the noles. We’re not gaining any momentum on the field, and any time we do we’ve immediately given it back. You can’t just keep talking about “building” and “process” while stumbling to 6-6 seasons. Not with who we face in recruiting and with the type of sought after kids we’re pursuing. It won’t work. And this won’t be an isolated case and isn’t already.

No, I think the core of the class will remain, but it’s a zero sum game and if we lose even a few more commits, it will swing things real quick. And no, it’s not good when a kid decides the week after a blowout loss to Uk that he’s not coming up and will visits rival that’s been on him the last few months and is 4-0.

My guess is if we lose him, we are probably clinging to a Top-10 finish with Ala, uga, A&M, tenn, Lsu, fsu and miami all in front of us. Considering any notion of game day coaching advantage waved bye bye a long time ago, what exactly are we hanging onto at that point?

You're absolutely right. I went and grabbed my old set of pearls out of storage so I could clutch them over recruits that haven't decommited.

I dont think it really matters or is worth arguing about. Whether we want to admit it or not, tater salad's days are probably numbered. And with the new age of transfer rules the fact that he may or may not pull in a top class is irrelevant bc many of the blue chips that come are going to bail when hes shown the door.

The quality of the ingredients for a meal are of little importance when the chef doesn't know how cook.
