People were clearly affected by his stupidity (Eminem and Herbs) - good riddance Brent.

There were probably Vegas odds on when he'd retire and he wanted one last score.

He got pushed out for his Joe Mixon comments.

Yep, in today's political correctness society that won't be put up with. If he was back on the air in the fall, there would probably be people marching and protesting in the streets for it.

Honestly, I think he's gotten more entertaining with age. The last couple of years has been like listening to your drunk uncle do play by play.

He's definitely gone off the rails a few times as of late, but I love that kind of nutty off the cuff stuff. I find it entertaining and the more cringe worthy the better. I get the feeling that if he were to get a couple more years we'd hear him saying stuff like, "Good golly! Look at the tits on that one!" when the cameras panned the cheerleaders.

I was in high school when I first became aware of him. I thought then he was pretty wormy, and that was only about 150 years ago . . .

Good riddance. I haven't liked him since the 80's when he soundly berated Miami for months and months for running up the score on Notre Dame (58 - 7) Of all universities, Notre Dame who consistently put up scores in excess of 50's to 70's on lesser teams. They had just never experienced the shoe on the other foot so-to-speak.

Same as Verne. It's comical at times to listen to them stumble over their own words.

Actually, I believe he berated Miami for being a bunch of coke snorting, 'roid pumping, whore humping, girl thumping, chest bumping, english language mauling miscreants.

No offense.

Dude was oblivious to what was happening on the field 2 decades ago and it has only gotten worse.

I don't know why I was able to tolerate Verne (who was equally lost) and not Musberger; maybe because Verne had that iconic voice.

I couldn't stand Musberger. He misses everything.

Alex.

My favorite was when Brent would scream "HE'S GOT A MAN!!!!" on every deep ball no matter if someone was wide open or not.

Better than some broadcasters, wish him well in retirement. Who'da thunk Verne and Mushberger in the same year. Now if we can just get recruiting to pay off.

Well, not one of my favorites. My only issue with announcements like this... reminds me I'm that much closer to the end of the conveyor belt :eek3:
