SEC Tournament kicks off Wednesday day. Lots of interesting matchups early. Most important one is Texas A&M vs Vanderbilt on Thursday.

Odd that UAR has Auburn, Missouri and UMs while UF has Vandy and aTm and UK has UGa and UTn. I could see UF and UK both out after one game.

If we make it through the first game, we'll be in the Final Game.

Should be an interesting tourney. I can see where we may have problems on Friday. Same for UK. Would not surprise me at all if UK gets knocked out. Just hope UF is rested and ready. They've looked tired and missing Egbunu greatly.

Lee, thanks for the info! I gave you a like because you're at a disadvantage in the post-like ratio battle. Definitely appreciate the way you stay on top of all things Gator BB!

I kind of hope A&M beats Vandy despite the revenge factor because these are basically home games to Vandy when they are playing anyone other than Kentucky. To 100% lock up a spot in the tourney Vandy would have to beat us also.

Was going to say the same thing. The only team on our side of the bracket that scares me is Vandy. And of course we're lined up to play them out of the gate. If we lose to them a 3rd time, we could fall to a 5 or even 6 seed. If we make it to the finals, then W or L against UK (cause let's be honest, the refs aren't going to let anyone else make the finals from their side) we should be a 4 seed.

Vandy is tough to beat in Vandy. I don't think they will be an issue in the tournament. The one team that can beat UF is Kentucky. Period.

Yep a place in the final game should lock a 4 seed up for us with a 3 seed if we were to win it probably. As long as we are a 3 seed or a 4 seed they will probably slot us in the Eastern bracket to play in Orlando. No telling what would happen if we lost right out of the gate and some other teams got hot in their tournaments knocking us down to a 5 seed. We could end up anywhere but they would probably still slot us in the East in Orlando.

I think aTm would be a tough out because of their size - we had Egbunu against them last time, this time we won't. We won by 9 (at home), but they out-rebounded us by 6 and had 6 blocks. I would prefer Vandy, and revenge.

I don't know which I would prefer, but aTm is a tougher matchup for UF now with the size factor inside. aTm is not just tall, with Gak back UF can handle that better, but Hayes is slightly built and Gak is a rail making it tough to match up against the heft of aTm inside.

What do you mean by taken to task? Losing by two is taken to task?
Beating us at home? Yes
Being our only lose at the O-Dome? Yes
Holding us to 66 points? Yes
Coming from behind to win on the road? Yes
Outscoring us 41-34 in the 2nd Half? Yes

Both Vandy and A&M are a tough matchup for us because of their size.

Without Egbunu any team with a lot of size will cause us issues.

Losing by 2 isn't being taken to task no matter how you spin it, chief.
