Unless I'm missing something Massey should at least be returning punts and kicks even if not a good receiver. That's what he was recruited for I thought.

Cleveland is too hesitant on the kr, just needs to turn on the jets and look for a gap. If is even retutnable and with our blocking KO are not.

I kinda expected that duo to win the KR jobs. Maybe Henderson as another option. Did they even get a look?
I'm not so sure I want Henderson returning kicks. He is fast but slight of build like Chris Thompson was last year and subject to fumbling when hit or being grabbed at.

It's probably got something to do with blocking ability and knowing what to do on all the plays. I know.....I know....we need our playmakers on the field with the ball and I agree but I'm just telling you....coaches are serious about that stuff and if they miss a block our assignment they go crazy and it's all part of the execution thing we are all yelling about.

So why can't we pull Mac or Nuss when they miss a call?

I really like a DB as a punt returner just in case they pull a fake punt or something. If we have one that is good with the ball that is.

UF gave up 2 sacks against UTn. One was on Thompson 24 missing the MLB and the other was when Franks rolled into the blitz where both an TE and RB chipped the guy. So I am not sure which one you think you are putting on Perine, but I put one on Thompson and one on play design/Franks.
Pretty sure that one wasn't Franks fault... looked like a designed roll out to me... by the time he rolled out, our guys had already missed their assignments and he got nailed...

We are a lot deeper at wide receiver than at DB, so I would like a WR with something to prove as a kick returner. I don't want to lose a player that we cannot afford to lose back there. I can still see Caldwell's leg in my head.

Duke is too important to us... especially with starting so many true freshman back there... if he got hurt returning a punt, this board would be calling for Mac's head!
Some of us have been calling for his head for well over a year.

He's near death, according to Mac. Very serious

Mac had him on the field the very next game after telling us he was out for the season. Lol.

I seriously think he's either retarded or drugged up. Sure looks drugged up at these pressers.

Any reason why Toney can't do punt returns?

Bad WRs are DBs. We have freshmen lining up at CB. It is the easiest position on the field. They are functional in weeks.

Kickoffs you'd tend to want your faster players. I don't recall Toney being so much fast as quick and elusive. So no, I meant punt returns. If you want to try him on kickoffs also, go ahead, but I think he could be a weapon on punt returns.

True, but I'd rather see Toney on KR instead of Cleveland.
