Maybe I am making something out of nothing, but if I was his boss and he talked about death threats and did not give me a heads up, did not go to the police, and then refused to talk about it. Well he would not have lasted even a minute in my office.

If these were serious threats the police need to be involved. If they were not but he thought them an issue then a talk with me would have been required before talking about them. And if we were going to explore the issue (I think there is something there) it would have been in a controlled manner and in the off season.

Now his performance in his primary job justifies a change as well but this sort of bad management of PR was a continual issue and this is the straw that broke the back.

It's okay. those types of brain farts do not cost us games. Butters had brain farts on an almost weekely basis that cost us games

I personally want to thank each and everyone of my fellow chatters. Without a doubt, this site, the best Gator site on the internet, due to its wide open format, helped in making the voices of the fans be heard.

I am sure that administration has also read our threads about who we perceive to be unproven, never will have it, could be, and then Kelly. Our vocal support to help return us to greatness deserves a toast.

I doubt the offense will improve one iota, but this is a perfect chance for NussNuts to audition for his next gig. he won;t be here next year and he won;t have Butters pulling his leash, so what if he wanted to play Zaire and Butters said no? here is his chance. he is still employed and getting paid. My guess is he will have no restrictions on playing FF, Zaire, Toney etc. at QB. Perhaps he can show some creative skills and show the world that it was Butters who would not allow us to throw it over the middle or us RB's as primary receivers out of the backfield. I doubt anything changes, but he gets 4 games with literally nothing to lose b/c his stock was at the bottom of the barrel anyway.

Look no further than his track record at Michigan to know with certainty that Nuss sucks balls.

Think I'll still be able to his BBQ sauce next time I'm at the Swamp?

Yes, Foley tasted the BBQ sauce one time and liked it so much he gave Mac a 10 year exclusive for all sauce sales inside BHG stadium. The parting of ways today DID NOT include the BBQ sauce deal.

We are no different than any other fanbase. Scott Frost got death threats while QB at NU.

We're not special. If you pumping idiots would stop saying this crap it would kinda help.

Welcome.

I'm special

Former ESPN reporter Brett McMurphy had this to say in a Facebook post

Expect former Florida coach Jim McElwain to receive substantially less than his $12.9 million buyout – perhaps only $4 million – because McElwain kept his death threats from university officials and also his agent’s reluctance to fight Florida for the full buyout, sources told me.

Florida and McElwain officially parted ways Sunday and the school said “the two parties are currently negotiating terms of separation.”

Florida officials believe it could fire McElwain with cause, nullifying the buyout completely. UF believes it shouldn’t have to pay McElwain “anything” because he withheld claims about death threats from university officials

McMurphy expands, noting a source told him “Sexton won’t fight it because it’s not in his best long-term interest” noting that Jimmy also represents Dan Mullen and other clients.
