UF isn't a job you "consider"...you're all in or not. There's no window shopping.

Why didn't OSU announce Meyer then? They aren't going to do that until this season is over...wish it were different and they would just announce it today but they aren't going to do that to the staff and team
Yup, just pointing out it was done before the season started, before summer school started probably.and yet they waited until Nov 28 (2 days after the last regular season game) to announce it...
Because it's out of respect for those coaches currently working...i know this doesn't mean much to UF fans but it does in the coaching world. To them the coaches still have a job to do...did you listen to Shannon today? He is still all in because he has to and other coaches would likely not want to upstage that by being announced as the replacement while these guys are still trying to get through the season. It's 1 more week....Then we'll be the first one to do it, big deal, what difference would it make? Do you think it will make us look bad or something? The fans need something to cheer about, and they're not going to get that from the current team and coaches, if they are delaying the announcement, then I think the administration just enjoys the fanbase flipping out over all this.

No you wouldn’t.. we’re already down a head coachThis makes sense...If you hire him today you need to lose a staff member instantly, a few days before FSU.
Honor the existing contracts of asst coaches.
Agreed. They knew days in advance. It didn’t stop kelly from telling Florida he wanted the job (he reached out and made it known He was interested and people close to him said he really wanted the Florida job as much as Florida wanted him) and having Florida fly up the freakin president to see him.I’ll bring this up again. Kelly’s agent (Dunn) is a professional. He is the CEO of one of the largest sport’s agencies in the country. He knew Mora was being fired a week or two ago. It was not a surprise. He is not going to risk his access at UF over one hire. His agency would lose access to many NFL, NBA, and MLB prospects. There was no last minute UCLA surprise. In fact I was told this morning that UCLA didn’t come close to a UF offer. Which means, Dunn was in contact with UCLA prior to Mora being fired.

This entire idea that he can take it or leave it is ridiculous. He’s being recruited. If any of you haven’t been recruited for jobs this is how it works.
And if you haven’t been recruited by multiple companies, then I guess you wouldn’t be aware that you would digest multiple offers, take your time, and choose the one that best fits you.
I think this is indicative of his personality. He’s a data cruncher. He is able to take information, digest it, and find the best way to use it. Just like on the football field.
A lot of people are acting like we were spurned. Who said that? Y’all are just taking a bunch of jumps. Hell, most people are saying that they still think it’s a done deal. And even if it’s not – we should still be working relentlessly to get him. You don’t get the best people by giving up when they want to look around. That’s crazy.
not true ....a quality control guy was named a DL coach when rumph was elevated to DCNo you wouldn’t.. we’re already down a head coach
Beat me to it.not true ....a quality control guy was named a DL coach when rumph was elevated to DC
yes the NCAA limits the number of on field coaching positionsHuh?? Not quite picking up what you’re trying to put down. You think we only have a certain amount of slots for coaches?? Like it’s scholarships??
If you went to the office by prefacing you were in, and they had the president come down from the 43rd floor, and when everyone got in that office to sign with you, and you said you know what, I’m gonna wait now. A lesser job just opened and I want to look at it. They’d rip up your contract in your face. There’s a zero percent chance you get another day at any office or for any job. You can play the field during the PROCESS. Once it’s done and everyone gets together to sign and you have verbally agreed, no. That’s not normalThis entire idea that he can take it or leave it is ridiculous. He’s being recruited. If any of you haven’t been recruited for jobs this is how it works.

Yes that is exactly right...you are only allowed a certain number of on-field coaches and there are only a certain number that are allowed to recruitHuh?? Not quite picking up what you’re trying to put down. You think we only have a certain amount of slots for coaches?? Like it’s scholarships??
