See, that's the point. It doesn't make one GD bit of difference if they "did anything wrong". They are paid to get the job done. They targeted their guy, CK. There are only two options at that point, success (sign him) or failure (he goes elsewhere). All this "well, they gave it the old college try" bs is for losers.

Of course if we don't land CK, it's a failure. But failure is always a risk since UF does not control every knob. Some of the knobs are in CK's control (or his agent's).

Problem is after this public sh#tshow, 6 mil might not be enough. We couldn't have given away more leverage to make a run at Frost or even Norvell if we were trying. I'm fully in the Stricklin is in way over his head camp if this keeps going the way it looks like.

And the "just keep Shannon on" is the final straw. Shannon is a terrible head coach, worse than Chump and Butters for crying out loud. So we just give up and admit it's irreparable, that Foley finally succeeded in sinking the program?

Shannon is a four- five loss coach just like the last two pieces of shyt we hired and just like all the mullens, campbells and taggarts you people keep mentioning.

If he's an interim, we fire him at will when the next Creyer becomes evident. It isn't ideal but it worked for Ohio State.

No to Mullen or Taggart, but I'd much rather take a shot with Norvell, Campbell, or even Morris than keep a coach who you are admitting is as bad as Muschamp or Butters.

you know what the saddest thing is....we will never know the truth of how SS messed this thing up because they will spin it and cover for each other and say that CK was never their #1 choice, he was just the only one not coaching at the moment.....and on and on...blah...blah...blah. We will never know how inept they are because to tell the truth would expose them. SS is over his head. AD @ MSU is one thing but AD @ UF is major leagues. He had a three week head start and could not pull it off. UCLA went from outhouse to Penthouse in 48hrs. That is an athletic department that knows how to get things done. Makes me sick to my stomach.

I thought this was ridiculous the first time I heard it but it should be considered. Give him a good OC as coach in waiting to help with recruiting and groom him for the position. After you get past frost on the list, nobody's gonna excite the fanbase. The whole program needs to be rebuilt. We need to make this job appealing to a top knotch coach.
