So what's your real reaction to this search? I've never seen anything like it. What's the deal over there?

I think Haslam was calling the shots early and we see what happened Sunday. Gundy I'm not sure he was coming regardless. He takes pride in wanting to be wanted. I actually just heard the Brohm deal may not be as dead as some think. We will see on that.
I think there is a real disconnect between DiPietro, Davenport, Currie,Haslam and Fulmer/Peyton. Two of those guy's know what they are doing and 4 of them are clueless. Everyone is afraid of Haslam except Fulmer and Peyton. Fulmer hates the guy.
The right hand has no clue what the left is doing. Currie has lost so much credibility that a coach he is talking to doesn't take him seriously. I don't blame them. It's a mess.

The dude is 68-67 over 11 years as a coach in college. Not quite a small resume as you say. Plus, you have been going apesh.it lately over Mullen and his 69-46 record, in the SEC nonetheless.

Edit: Capital said the same thing but I hadn't read his post yet when I wrote this. lol!

This probably about the most realistic post on the situation from the UT perspective. Really your fellow Vols have painted your program in a corner and it is comical from a rival's standpoint. No one seems to control Haslam, the Fans have used twitter to control a search and run off perspective candidate, and the UT crowd had no one to blame but themselves. It will not matter what AD you have in K'ville, if Haslam is not controlled UT will be in gutter for some time to come. It seems as if UT has shyt the bed on this search.

And I'd be lying if I said I was not enjoying this. Sorry no offense SEC, you're a decent rival poster.

I just wanted to take a minute and thank Tennessee. This is curing my depression and anxiety. It's at the very least a nice temporary band aid. This is just fun.

"Since Brohm is out. Reports are that Currie is in North Carolina interviewing the NC State Coach Dave Dorean...A Nashville sport talk show just spent the last hour reporting that Dorean is an absolute loser and would have been fired previously if he had not somehow beaten North Carolina. This could be a worse hire than either Dooley or Jones. Fans need to rise up and prevent this hire. NC State would be happy that UT took a loser off their hands. The big mistake that UT made was hiring Currie over Blackburn."

Good God. Fans need to rise up and prevent this hire? Again? They have lost their minds.

No sense??? He was an accomplished Head coach, and is DC at OSU. Made a lot of sense. Chasing people who are low probability opportunities wastes time and basically makes you look like idiots when it gets out.

Let me ask you this; if Gruden agreed to coach at Tennessee and had the same allegations levied against him, do you think boosters and UT fan's would've said a damn thing? In fact, they would've made him Governor of Tennessee and changed the name of Knoxville to "Grudenville," for starters.

Dorean is in fact a loser and would be the worst hire since......well our last hire......and the one before that.

So the fans should "rise up" and prevent the hire again? What this time? Set the stadium on fire?

Tenn plays basketball tonight. They are planning the loudest, most obnoxious chants against Currie. Kids that weren't going to the game now are just to chant. Could be epic.
