Maybe. There are other schools that arent dealing with all the crap they are...just seems really odd to me.

He’s been a pariah in recruiting for nearly a year. There’s a reason why no P12 teams would touch him despite his abilities. I don’t pretend to know all the details, or believe everything rumored on other sites, but to the question of it either being a bad fit at UF or a probation laden team in OM, the answer is yes. He simply didn’t have any other real options, and certainly none closer to home.

Now, I didn’t want to lose him and consider this a blow in perception. But he was always a character issue. He was simply our character issue.

It was obvious this was going to happen when we saw Mullen visit 15 QBs before going to see Corral. Idk why this is so hard to understand, but Corral is not Mullen’s guy. It’s time to move on

Corral has been trying to get on a lot of campuses since the middle of our season.

Please tell us you didn't stay up all night thinking that up.[/QUOTE

...no I woke up an hour ago to read the news. I said that was the obvious part. Probably my whole post was, but not any more obvious than half of what is said here. Lol. I'll crawl back under my rock now.

Now that he's not committed there will be more negative reports about Corral. As others have said, Mac was desperate and so was Corral. LSU turned him down when he wanted to visit. I had no idea he was such a leper, but I think he landed at the only P5 program that would have him.

It’s not spin, it’s logic. Square peg, round hole. I don’t want to re-live what the offense looked like under Leak (who was an amazing QB btw).

Let’s let Mullen get his guy and see what happens.

That offense under Leak looked better than anything we’ve had in the last 7 years. Lol

Actually, he had offers from USC (though he de-comitted from them so I'm guessing that might have been pulled, but it's still listed), UCLA, and ASU, not to mention Bama, aTm, Meeechigan, and UGA. If you look at his list, he definitely chose the lowest bar.

I think the change of schools issue (fight with Gretzky's kid) probably raised a flag with a lot of folks. I have a feeling that was probably somewhere in DM's notes...

The decision was mutual and it's done. Corral wasn't the right fit.

I guarantee the coaching staff has moved on. The sooner we do, too, the better.

If we land a blue chipper because this kid is finally out of the way then is it good news?

And if we don't land anyone we're relying on Franks, Trask or Allen (Toney gets injured game 2 if we make him play quarterback). Could be a really long season.

Have you SEEN the will grier thread???
Probably since I created it. Difference there is, we KNEW what Grier was capable of. Corral has yet to play his first college down.

Seriously, I hope you're not going to try to compare the two. Grier just finished a lights-out season.

I'm thinking he was commenting on the "move on" aspect and how his thread will seemingly outlast the orbit of our moon.

Grier actually played and threw TD passes for the Gators.
