I really liked the 2007 offense. We had a much better mix then.

It was always rumored that Creyer got tight and much more conservative as the years went by and that Mullinz was trying to push him to open up the offense. Here's hoping that was true.

We had a very young D. They HAD to open up the O. I hope it was Meyer holding us back.

But the part about Mullen’s first two years implementing a new system with wrong-fit players being less than stellar, then narrowing down his good years to the next two where he had his players, just screams “I hate the hire and nothing will convince me otherwise”. Especially considering much of the same cast were terrible in the year(s) that followed. Seriously, it’s ridiculous.

Makes sense. Remember that OSU game a few years back (crop top Elliot’s last season there) where he coached them to literally lose that game. Players even said so after the game

Well considering most threads always turn into a pumpers vs dumpers pissing contest, it's nice to get some actual insight ever now and then.

Dude, I haven’t seen you say anything that WASN’T negative. You’re nonstop negativity in this thread is literally worse than ‘Law Donkey’s... and that’s really saying something! ... But I’ve grown to really respect him...

And don’t act like you’re only saying what you’re saying in response to pumpers... Your tune has remained the same the WHOLE time.

I’m no Mullen pumper... I was disappointed when he was hired... but the nonstop negativity is like a broken record.... Can you at least “hope” for him to work out? The alternative is more Gator misery. So while I didn’t want him, I’m now pulling for him... because his success = Gator success.

The 25th ranked recruiting class might beat out vandy and arky. Thats about it as far as the sec goes, dude.

You can tell that he knows enough about football that he knows this. He, T-Rex and a few others are so anti Mullen that every discussion turns into a roast of Mullen.

1. There is a celling at MSU no matter the coach. I don't believe that either Saban or Meyer could win championships at MSU.​
2. Mullen's accomplishments at MSU indicate he is a good coach; much better than what we have had recently. We do not know if he will be a great coach.
3. His staff looks pretty impressive in my "don't know a lot" opinion.
4. His recruiting, we'll have to wait and see.
