....

So he went from being the laughing stock of college qbs to throwing for 4,000 yards with 63% completion percentage, with 27 passing tds to only 8 interceptions (also ran the ball for 323 and 5 tds), but somehow he still sucked? Sorry. But you’re wrong.

If he had a legit qb coach who could have developed him early on he could have been good for us. I’m not talking Tim Tebow good but good nonetheless.
He flopped in every big game there too, there just weren't many big games. Multiturnover games when it mattered.

He was less of a QB than Jordan Reed, which is exactly what model we should have followed. Moved him to H back, and played the NFL QB we had on our roster sitting on the bench.

We aren't going to pull a Butters and sign a boatload of 3 stars. We are still in the hunt for more bluechippers.

The Butterteeth ship has sailed.
Hope you are right. Think we will get Barnes? Petit-Frere? Surtain? Guess I saw some of our former four stars like Thornton and Divaad Wilson signing elsewhere. Who are we in for?

Yeah, we aren't going to take a big helping of Miami trash, like Wilson.

Barnes, I expect yes. Petit-Frere, I don't know. Surtain, doubt it. And don't really care about DBs. Thornton, I doubt it. Not what we need.

Mullinz will be looking for smaller, strong WRs who can block, hopefully fast enough to run sweeps, and receiving will be third priority. It is what he does.

Weird that you are suicidal. Your sure did loving losing the McButterteeth way, didn't ya? Or are you mad that someone dared to leave M'ssippi.

Sorry, but it wasn't just Pease and Chump. No one told him to panic within a millisecond of every snap, to drop his eyes immediately and never look downfield, to roll to the right out of the pocket even in the absence of pressure, and a thousand other things that middle school QBs get right.

I saw Driskel I think three times when he was at Latech. Admittedly they were the bigger games. Each time he shyt the bed and became a turnover machine.

I have no respect for a lazy dude and he is one lazy mother. He is dumb too, but that probably isn't his fault.
Did you see Jason Driskel last night? No panic, great pocket presence excellent accuracy. Said we recruited the wrong Driskel and got a"dislike" for my efforts.

No, I don't watch FAU. No one does.

You just needed a dislike to keep your old crabby azz in line.

Law surely you, of all posters, get me better than that! Suicidal?! Not at all. I just think we are all so relieved that we got a QB and didn't screw up that we've gone a little a little over the top

Dude, I'm a bandwagon fan. I've always admitted it. I'm the first to fall off the wagon but I give every new coach a chance... unless it is Zook. I actually kind of tried with him but I disliked him too much. Even tried to support a gd dwag.

Fanatics. That's what resides here. Normal people don't give a shyt. They may watch the games, orbnot. They don't think about it most of the year.

It’s true. Once in a while I’ll have that moment in real life with someone who’s a fan but not to the same extent. They’ll be rambling on about something UF related but not know a particular detail. And after a few “It was Ben Hanks”, “28 unanswered”, “that was ‘04”, “no we get them at home this year”, type comments, I soon tell by the expression on their faces that I am in no way normal.

A good friend of mine who has a degree from FSU and a Masters from UF is a nole. We share the rivalry with pure animosity. It’s fun to trash them but miserable lately. I talked to him a while ago and he is apoplectic over Willie. He can believe the total failure today has brought them. He said he may soon despise taggert more than he does Helen Hunt when he left to take the UGA job. I may have a chance to flip his allegiance to UF...
We don't want to flip a Nole fan. F@&k him, even if he is your friend. F@&k them all.

Separately, I'm very hopeful that today leads to momentum for the unsigned kids remaining. While we have needs across the board, the interested talent at OL is strongest. I'm really hoping we start to get them committed during the all-star games.

Just spoke with a buddy of mine and he said 4*Nik Bonitto is waiting on the UF offer and if he gets it he's a Gator. He also told me that we're in the mix for some bigger names than Bonitto so things could get interesting over the next month at LB.

Interesting that 12 of their 18 signees are from Georgia, then 3 from Miami.

Gators only have 5 Florida players among our 13 signees.

That definitely has to change. And I hope it starts today and we can scoop up a few of the elite Florida guys that are still unsigned.
We all expect the pick of the litter but being in transition makes it harder than it should. We got some momentum now but we still have to compete against the clowns, Miami, FAU, USF, and UCF. Georgia has to compete in state against that engineering school period. They also get a lot of pressure from AU and UT, so Kirby has got the program screwed down pretty tight. Another year things should begin to balance out, especially with who's running Tallahassee now.

As long as nobody is popping popcorn, making peanut butter and jelly sammiches or trying to pedal some mop sauce... I'm digging the off-season.

Emory Jones specifically talks about Trevon Grimes wanting to leave OSU and come back to Florida and that he will try to recruit him to Florida. He is having family issues apparently and might transfer.

How does that work with the transfer and play immediately? Can he request a waiver based on family outright? Or does OSU have to deny a transfer and him appeal to transfer based on need (family)?

What site is that from? :stirpot: ;)

If you are referring to Jacoby Brissette as the NFL QB, that's true, but it's also true that Jeff Driskel is an NFL QB, he's a back up QB for the Cincinnati Bengals......so moving him to H-back would have been a bad move, considering what he did after leaving UF...
