Absolutely. And not a word from Chris or Al. They were still talking about the touchdown where the player took three steps and stretched the ball over the goal line.

I thought Cris was wrong on both of those reviewed TDs. Ertz had clearly become a runner and the movement on the other one wasn’t enough to question possession.

Agreed Theo.

Also of note, it would seem that the way to actually beat the Patriots is to keep your foot on the gas the whole 60 minutes rather than just getting a lead and going into prevent offense.

Philly cops put hydraulic fluid on all the light poles and stop lights to make sure people won't climb up. It's probably nuts in philly right now. Philadelphia deserves a championship in football. Good for them.
Idk if anybody has mentioned commercials yet. Peter Dinklage and Morgan Freeman's commercial was good. The Tide ads with the cop dad from Stranger Things was funny too.

Not true.

Peterson's play calling was incredible. Philly better throw the bank at him.

Inside the Eagles’ locker room, I got Pederson alone and asked where this football ethos came from.

“Playing quarterback, watching a lot of teams, a lot of football,” he said. “You learn if you play passive, if you play conservative, if you call plays conservatively, you are going to be 8-8, 9-7 every year. Every year. Frank and I just having that collaborative spirit to talk about things and talk with our quarterbacks and just come up with ways of keeping this game fresh and fun and exciting for our players. And that's really where it all stems from.”

Ratings are in.

The marquee event of the television calendar, which saw the Philadelphia Eagles nab their first ever Super Bowl victory, averaged a 47.4 overnight rating among metered market households on NBC. That's down 3 percent from initial numbers for the 2017 game, a modest drop but one that marks the franchise's lowest performance since 2010.

The past two Super Bowls, which averaged a respective 48.8 (2017) and 49 (2016) overnight ratings, were each steady with over 111 million viewers. (2017 saw a massive spike in streaming, which technically put it at 113.7 million viewers.)

So glad to see someone new win the SB. Phily's first SB Win so good for them. Amazing game, back and forth and it was a GATOR, Trey Burton who played a major part in the win with his TD pass to Foles.

As a Packers fan, I like to think he picked up a lot of that from Favre...or maybe Favre picked up more of his moxy from Peterson.

Go back and watch Dez's catch against the Packers and tell me the difference. I thought both were catches and the rec had become a runner. Not sure how they get to the determination without having some bias. And this whole rule came about due to the Calvin Johnson rule which was a catch made in the end zone where you never become the runner. It's either a catch or not.

It's to much subjectivity and they need to go back to just deciding whether the player had control of the ball when he hit the ground and if so, it's a catch. No question for me on the Ertz TD but the one before that I thought was not a catch. I think Cris was just going off of past rulings and he's right, they are all over the place.

No question that the constant tinkering with some of these rules has made it almost indiscernible. The fact that Ertz's TD had to be reviewed should be all the proof needed that they need to de-clutter the rule and go back to the basics. The player either caught it or he didn't. Clement's TD was close, and could've been called either way. Not the case on that final TD.

Props to the NY Giants for still managing to take the biggest L of the night with that homoerotic dance performance by Eli and Odell.
