Why not just get the fattest bastards on the planet to play goalie? Stuff a sumo wrestler in there with giant pads and see if anybody can find an opening.

So did I read this right, the guy is there to play emergency goalie for EITHER team if necessary? WTF?

I know this may sound retarded, but if your backup goalie gets hurt why wouldn't the team be forced to just suit up one of their regular position players in goalie pads and send him out there?
