I doubt many lower division QBs could be more lost than Driskel or Franks.

This is from Goldkamp....absolutely pathetic!

Offensive Line

Grade: C-

Overview: Even moreso than the quarterbacks, this is the unit that has to make some strides if Florida's going to finally start to fix the offense. The scrimmage performance on Friday was very concerning, because the line came out flat and that's something that keeps happening. And there don't appear to be a ton of obvious personnel moves that could shore things up. This is a veteran unit with all five starters back, but we're beginning to wonder if that's actually a good thing. One thing is clear: The Gators need Brett Heggie healthy and they need guys like Nick Buchanan, Chris Bleich and Noah Banks to really start pushing for starting roles so there's more a sense of urgency among the incumbent group. There's just far too much complacency at the position right now and the play has not gotten appreciably better.

You confused me at first. I thought you were saying that his article was pathetic. You meant the OL was pathetic.

They should bring on an entire new starting five from the outside and rescind everybody else’s scholarships.

I think this disease with the OL. This laziness disease – started under Summers.

Heggie is BY FAR the best interior OL on the team. Ivey should probably slide over and that gives us a decent interior. Taylor needs to get better, plain and simple. It'll be his third year, he needs to start playing like it.

I'm not going to lose my sh*t just yet w/ the OL. It's only 6 practices in w/ the new staff. Hevesy has proven he's a good OL coach. He has several bodies to work with, hopefully he can find 5 worth a sh*t.

Again, at least he's weighing what a D1 OL should weigh. That alone will help his improvement.

I still can't believe the UAA let Butters run this thing into the ground....

Before Summers....

I don't even remember the tool bag that was our ol coach before him.

Really the OL has sucked since Hevesy left. Remember Daz' fillins? Halapio and crew? The Windmilling and started with those guys.

This is true. If we could just show up the offense of line we could make do with no quarterback until EJ or JJ is ready.

From what I've read C- is a gift. D- to F+. The DL always has the advantage against the offensive line early in practice, but let's hope these guys figured out quickly.

I actually think it would be worth the lost reps to these "starters" if the coaches just put in the 2nd string and kept them there for the rest of the spring to send a message to these guys. "You guys had better work hard as a unit over the summer and get your sh!t together or we're moving on without you." Perhaps that will actually spark something that might, ....oh I don't know.....make them pissed off and aggressive maybe?

I mean, we've seen how crappy these guys play, I can't imagine the twos being much worse.

Fred Johnson and Tyler Jordan should never start at UF while Ivey should be a guard.
If we can slide Ivey over to guard, get Heggie backyard RG, all well really need is a LT (which I know is important).

If we have the below lineup, I think we could be decent.

? - Ivey - McCoy - Heggie - Taylor.

Two coaching staffs back to back who didn't recruit OL for **** will be a hard hole to climb out of. Two or three more years of abject failure on offense await us.

Do we still have the best OL in the SEC?

Is Butters still "real proud" of the offense he built. Offensive explosion coming next fall? Always NEXT fall.

Should be obvious by now that Fooley hired a man who is not right in the head. Sad state of affairs and our program is collateral damage.
