A couple of days ago there was a run of posts about Moon not showing up on a depth chart (maybe Goldkamp’s.) Today the Sun has a short feature on the new improved Moon now playing behind CeCe & learning rush end, complete with fluff quotes from Grantham. Coincidence? I think not.

And every now and then they throw in a patronizing “there there, calm down internet” comment, usually about recruiting.

I’ll put it this way, the POTUS has people listening to the callers on shows like Rush and Hannity to get a pulse on what conservative types feel. And they have pushed right on issues from public backlash on these shows.

So you can be damn sure that the no talent piece of crap guys like Dooley and Co. troll here for story ideas. I think some others lurk to have a pulse on the base. Maybe to help determine type of content to better sell their content, versus Dooley who has no real content. He’s an embarrassment to all alumni to be honest.

You just cant do it can you. Trask has done a GREAT job going from nothing to contending for a starting job even if he isn't that great of a QB he deserves credit. You just cant give him one single ounce of credit for anything he has done. Again, you act like a child on this subject. Trask has spent his time doing everything he has been asked to do. Never in trouble, represents the university very well and is a good kid and good gator. You on the other hand....

I think you're both right to an extent. Yes, Trask has done everything expected of him, which to be fair, is pretty common among lesser recruited type players. But he's pushing for a role, more so because of his drive than his core ability.

By the same token, we do need to come to grips with the fact that probably 30-40% of our roster are simply not very good. We've been conditioned into this idea that somehow these under the radar guys like Moon, CJMcW, virtually every safety we have, etc. will grow into stars...just because we want them to. In reality, they're about what we should've expected all along. So I'm not putting a lot of stock in him running over a guy that wouldn't probably start for more than maybe 4 teams(3 cupcakes and VU) we play all season.

All these guys are Gators though, as you said, and I do wish the best for them. It's not their fault that they're playing here.
