So there's hope for you yet.I agree with the Facepalm Threatmatrix. It is amazing that we are paying a guy $6 million and he can not identify and coach up a QB.

Colorado held this team to under 300 yds less first downs and rolled up 590 yards of offense on them...let that sink in
You are right for sure and i understand that...but the eyeball test could tell you that if given 6 quarters we wouldn't of gotten over 500 yards of offense today with Franks running the show.I am in no way defending Cousin Eddie or the team, but when you have the huge special teams plays that we had today, your offensive yardage totals are going to be extremely skewed. Look I would rather have those ST plays, but with that comes the sacrifice of potentially about 200 yards in offense, but not points. It also skews the time of possession stat. I am in no way saying the final score tells the entire story and my own 2 eyes told me today that this team is a below average team, but please do not make silly yardage total arguments when the flow of the game dictated otherwise.
I keep hearing this but it is lack of talent not lack of depth. At many positions we simply have no talent. It isnt a situation of us having a good 22 and no depth behind them. Our lack of depth is going to be an issue all season.
Buddy, everyone uses the same number of roster spots. Bama fills 'em with five- and four-star athletes. We fill 'em with scrubs. Call it whatever you want, talent or depth, but it's essentially the same thing.I keep hearing this but it is lack of talent not lack of depth. At many positions we simply have no talent. The recruiting class is much more important of the two.and a top 10 recruiting class.
Franks could go to Louisiana Tech or some directional school like Driskel and tear it up like he did against inferior talent, but SEC defenses are too tough for him. It’s a good thing that Tennessee is equally as shytty as we are, if not worse. Cowbell is going to rape us the week after we blowout the pisspoor Vols, though, right on the heels of claiming we’re “back” again. Admittedly, I put too much stock in the season opener and got my hopes up that Franks wasn’t who we thought he was. I’d love to beat UGay, Mizzou and USCe, but I don’t think we’re in their ballpark, sadly.Franks is already better, but that doesn't necessarily make him SEC caliber. What it makes him is better, the subject of this thread.
And, yes, implicit in the expenditure of 6M USD for a new head coach is improved play. But let's be frank. You aren't going to wave a magic wand at this roster and compete for Atlanta overnight. It's going to take time, something that some of us probably aren't willing to concede at this point.

Perhaps Clown Town falling apart will help some but, frankly, I looked at their class and their is about 3 or 4 Id want.

I have a real problem with the penalties, but I'm going to attempt to be objective. He's making better throws and better reads. Again, the operative word is better. In what way is Franks better? Getting personal fouls?
I agree 100% and had they happened against an SEC team and appeared to have some chance of being repeatable, it would be a less discouraging game. One worries if the special teams plays are repeatable against an SEC opponent.
I think that's what you take from this win. We still have all the issues we had last week -- spotty quarterback play, inconsistent blocking, poor tackling, missed assignments by the secondary, not the intensity that I would like to see on the DL -- but you can see leaders being formed and the overall play improving.
ST play was lights out.
We're gonna struggle at Neyland. Don't care. Only care about how we are in late November.
IT'S GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR.
i still don't know how well be in conf play. Did we just have a real bad growing pain game against ky or will we look like that again for the next 2 weeks. In 2 weeks I think we'll all knowWhat more is there to know? If seen enough to realize what we are.
