My parents tell stories of when I was a very small child, where when I would meet someone for the first time, the first question I would ask was, "Do you like the Gators or the bulldogs". It was that black and white to me, and all further interactions with said person would be dictated by their response. I'm sure it was aided by my Sicilian mother's absolute disdain for Walker and those early 80s uga teams. Add to that a grandfather who'd seen us come so close to an SEC crown numerous times in his lifetime only to lose it in Jax, or have it stripped with Dooley and his minions leading the charge, and you have a family that despises uga like no other. And while a lot has changed for me over the years, nothing has diminished that hatred of anything and everything black and red.

There is nothing that compares to this week in terms of nerves and mental exhaustion about a game. Now that I'm going, it's even worse. I can't imagine any scenario where we beat these dirtbags by enough to make me happy.

I couldn’t help but hate them, even when we owned them every year. Their mouthbreathing, inbred, trailer park, Bama-mouth-with-a-Vandy-trophy-case fan base will sure make you dislike them more than any other rival. Especially when you grow up around them.

I get it. You're a Georgia guy, well, until recently. Everywhere you went, reminders and resentment. I get it.

I rarely run into Georgia people in Tampa Bay. What I do run into are a ton of obnoxious FSU people. On the roads, at the Publix checkout aisle, walking into my office. It's obnoxious.

I haven't forgotten my roots. I'll never forget Richard Appleby, Gene Washington or Lindsay Scott. I'll never forgive Vince Dooley, not just for the '70s but for how he knived us in the back in '84. Scoundrel.
