So...you think he didn't have the "green light" from us? :lmao2: dude you do realize we may have 5 offensive lineman on the roster who are SEC caliber...right?
You guys bellyache that this staff doesn't know how to recruit, and then you claim there is no way in hell the staff would screw up this commitment by slow playing him. They have Barnes and Petit-Frere ahead of him on the OT board.

I think we had 4 or 5 drafted after Muschamp's last year. That still amazes me. How could we have a horrendous O with a talented line like that???

Shytty play calling and QB's like Brantley, Driskel, Murphy, and Treon Harris, even though Driskel somehow made an NFL roster.

Probably. But I think you take as many OTs As you can. Particularly LTs. You can convert them to RTs. Guards. Whatever.

It’s gonna happen sooner or later. Why wait on th inevitable?

Well, how will GatChat react if this incoming class gives Mac enough substitute depth with an easy schedule to have a 10-11 win 2018? And thus get another extension, another raise? And then he's on his way as Florida's long-term HC. And his BBQ sauce starts flying off the shelves. Huh? Huh? :couch:

What u are failing to realize is that we want all of them in this class along with Ed Montilus and a couple others. We're taking any of them soon as they are ready to commit!

Get on the MacTrain boys and girls. We are going places soon!

If he can surround himself with a good staff he might make it past 2018. Facts are his ass is squarely on the hot seat going into 2018 and counting on a true freshman QB to pull him out of the fire is a recipe for disaster.

I bet he would help Franks score a TD or 2 most games. But we need Corral to stick (and Mac to split).
Corral has made it apparent he's coming for Nuss. Why on earth that's the case is beyond me but we might have to fire these guys after signing day

Setting up the next coach for failure if you leave him with franks and 1 star never start Trask. I don't think Frost could win with franks either.

Whoa there Slevin! Trask was a 2-star, I'm sure of it!!

What you fail to realize is yes we do, but what does that have to do with this staff. We need LB’s now too and we’re talking about taking one

Agreed, I think our biggest positions of need that have not been addressed are both LB and DT.

I also wouldn't mind a bruiser pass catching TE. The kind that punishes LBs and the secondary when they attempt to tackle him.

My thing about our team and recruiting and the future I suppose is this. When Mac arrived we all know how depleted this team was. Urban left us in disarray, then Muschamp made the situation even worse. So JM inherited a dumpster fire. Last year he pulled the no. 10 class, and as we all know, many of those freshman are contributing. 2018 is at 6, with the chance to be even better. 2019 stands at 1 at the moment. Once JM has had a year or two of solid talent, throughout the entire year, then and only then can we truly evaluate his performance. Do we necessarily like how nuss calls a game, not particularly. but until they have these solid incoming classes and stay healthy with most of the players for most of the season, we truly cannot evaluate them. Personal feelings of dislike are not relevant, and in football terms mean nothing. there are several posters on a few sites that did not like JM from the moment he was chosen, simply because he was not, “their” guy. Once the above things play out, we truly do not know where we are at with the staff. My guess that is why we are continuing to pull some nice talent on these incoming classes. They see what many fans don’t see or don’t want to see because they are blinded by their own egos. Have to see them with a full solid talent pool for a season to truly know. Go Gators!
