You can get to the bottom of the intent of a lot of these young guys by simply reading what they say or how they respond to things. It's hard for a 17 or 18 year old kid to keep these things under wraps. If he were truly interested in the Gators, he wouldn't continue to prime time the Dawgs like he is still doing.

Most everyone here complains (rightfully so) about Butters recruiting three star athletes but then some of you complain about Mullen recruiting five star athletes. SMH

As far as Corral, if he wants to stay and compete, that's great. But I really hope Mullen brings in another QB that is a better fit. They can't worry about Corral running away like a little girl if they bring in a new QB - Mullen has to get the best players for what he does.

IMO Corral can be the QB Mullen can develop as enough of a dual-threat QB for Mullen to meet halfway.The threat of the run (yes proven by QB run gains) is what influences the D to make wrong choices. Why prejudge Corral when he has shown so much desire to make Gators relevant? -- especially when he's tearing it up his senior season.?
Sure, freely pursue other QBs but don't ascribe pouting or fear to a youngster who has done none of that to base it on.

If Mullen can't recruit at least 1 solid QB this class under these circumstances we truly are doomed. It's an easy sell - quick playing time.

I don't have my doubts that Mullen will get a QB. If he will be better than Corral remains to be seen. I would like to see an actual downfield passer and not rely on dive plays and 5-10 yard dumps.

That isnt what the rule says. The rule says if you get hurt in your fifth year forcing you to miss substantially all of the fifth year, you may petition to be eligible flr a sixth year.
