I am not saying Krull starts but he will contribute. Not many 6'7", 4.45 /40, 255lb tight ends around.

Actually I think in ‘07 Cornelius Ingram was the TE as well that year too. So we were pretty solid at that position. I do remember Hernandez playing some his freshman year though. Remember him having a nice catch and run vs South Carolina in Tebow’s 7 TD game.

To be honest I have no clue wtf this dude is gonna do because depending on who you speak the info is different. Alabama people thinks he'll end up there and the UF people thinks he ends up here. However if I was putting $ on it I would go with Bama simply because we don't land those type of players anymore. Well...we haven't since meyer left!

I'd love to have him because splash guys like this tend to attract other talent, but I feel good with our running backs at the moment. Do you think we're seriously in the mix for any more high quality linemen on either side of the ball?

Antonio Gates and Jimmy Graham might be better analogies. Though they at least played basketball, not baseball. But, those two guys were productive on college. They got much better with more experience during their NFL YEARS, but the first year transition still went well.

BMF posted the 15 second clip. I didn't see the full version posted. Her is a vid almost 3 minutes of Jalon Jones at camp. Notice the quick cuts at the end. The kid has gained a good bit of weight.

It took me a while to find stats on Jalon Jones. Here is what I could find,

16-17: 88-155, 1235 yards passing, 18 tds, 5 ints.

I couldn't find any rushing stats

17-18: 1262 yards passing, 10 tds, 1087 yards rushing, 9 tds

His 17-18 stats are with rotating QBs. He didn't officially take the job until the 3rd game.

He was, and when your TE is the go-to in your offense you’re in that 90+ ranked offense range.

Reed & Trey Burton were good players at TE/H-Back once they stopped trying to manufacture Tebow 2.0 out of them.

That’s not dumping on him at all. Just reasonable expectations.

It won’t take long to find out if he wants to seal off a LB or DE or catch a ball over the middle when a safety is going to tattoo him as the ball arrives. But it may well take a while for him to put together technique & reads etc. to make those plays.

It does appear he has the tools, but the skill set likely takes time. I’ll be thrilled if he surprises us. Given his age & maturity maybe the learning curve is quicker but we can’t assume that.

I mean the guy had what, 800 something yards in his senior year of high school. He has been away from the game for two years, one with the Razorbacks and one in JUCO. As long as he is willing to do the hard work in the weight room and he has expressed the willingness to do so, and put in the hard work at camp, he will contribute. We have a lot of targets for our QBs assuming both WR transfers become eligible. Now if our OL can learn how to hold like the Alabama OL :).
