Well we are talking about a QB who fumbled a couple of times he ran last year without the defender even touching the ball.
We are screwed unless Jones just takes off if Franks is still this frickin lost. Mullen isnt going to be able to help him much.

Sounds like Franks still sees ghosts. Not sure he will ever break that. I bet he starts the year but doesn't make is past game 6 at most.

Same old **** from Franks. At least Trask can make checkdowns. That alone puts him ahead of franks and his head full of rocks. Dude is a total bust. Starting him is a sure way to lose to UK. To say nothing of other more competitive sides. EJ should do the running and Trask the throwing until EJ is ready to take over.

Yes, Trask the guy who hasn't taken a live football snap since Middle School is the answer.....
The guy threw like 3 INTs in the scrimmage the other night. He clearly aint the answer either. We need EJ to get better and quick

If Franks gets the nod and struggles, I don't think he makes it even through the entire Uk game. Stoops--assuming he plays all eleven defenders--will harass and confuse him enough that he'll get yanked, just like last year, especially if he leaves a lot to be desired in the opener as well.
Really, if it's a bad start for anyone other than EJ, I think a change is made, at the latest, during that game. Give them CSU to try and work out the kinks and embrace the starting role, and then roll from there. If we're going to be stuck with questionable QB play, it may as well be Jones, so we'll at least be able to hang our hats on how much better we'll be in the coming years.

Spurrier said in spring that EJ was the gamer in the bunch.
We can run some semblance of a running offense with him there and he can figure out the passing game as we go.
Seems like the best chance. It's obvious what we get with Franks. Which is nothing.

If we dont have a QB who looks a helluva lot better than Franks or Trash, we dont have a QB.
But most of us knew that already.

It is as simple as this, without a good running QB, there is no running offense w Mullinz calling the plays.
Better to take our lumps with EJ, Kadarius and JJ than waste a year with two statues back there and neither a running nor a passing offense.
