They were undefeated and ranked #2 going into the final week of the regular season just 11 years ago. They lost to Missouri and would end up winning the Orange Bowl that year. They tanked quickly after that. :lol:

What do Bob Devaney, Chris Petersen, Howard Schnellenberger, Earle Bruce and Charlie McClendon all have in common?

They have fewer career wins than HOF coach Les Miles.

You're confusing the quirky ways with the raw ability to coach and recruit. Combine that with your utter disdain for the runnning game. I actually get it.

Les was 9-3 his last full season in the SEC. I know a lot of teams that would take that in a heartbeat.

Can you imagine the buzz here if we had hired Miles? We'd be winning all our games games 12-2, recruiting like a banshee and Law would be suicidal.
