Umm... I am more excited about the great gymnastic recruits we are landing than the swim team. Don't get me wrong, the swim team is great and all... but not a whole lot of fun to watch.
Agreed. Scarlett coming will add justification for others to believe UF may finally commit to having an Offense again. That helps bring in receivers as well, and perhaps aleviates some Auburn talk about Florida not being competitive for SEC titles anytime soon, so Cowart and Jefferson may...
I've always liked the Falcons and wished more Gators would get there... Perhaps Fowler is Falcon's bound, which would be great! SeaHawks, Falcons, and Jaguars are the teams I have always liked... always the underdogs.
Jaason Lewis is a must get in my eyes... big bashing back akin to the typical Alabama running backs of recent years, or Fournette at LSU. When you need yards to win the game, you need a back like Lewis.
I hope they bling the IPF out though... and by that I don't mean juice bars and such, but big Gator head logos, Gator colors etc. Really engrain the Gator into the players and the atmosphere.
Agree... our class may not be stellar in numbers, but I think our quality will be fine. Outstanding, no... but still all will be great players that are coachable and they want to be Gators, even in a down time like now which means they will play with heart and not self-centeredness.
But the reality is the oppressive heat is only in play the first few weeks of the season... during our cupcake games. Yes occasionally it is quite hot in october, but for the most part it is a warm 80'ish and all teams are used to that.
The lightning cost us a game and numerous practices last...
Well, considering he replaced Shannon at Miami, and now at Arkansas... both times as LB coach, I think it is a safe bet he will be a Gator coach in two years. :)
This would be nice if more than a rumour. Where are you hearing this? It would make sense as we have all questioned how he could recruit them to Auburn after talking up UF for four years.
Coaches are like the the recruits. Would you prefer to have a flashy 5* who may or may not perform up to billing, or recruit a 3* who performs as a 5* without the attitude? While I would have liked to hire a big name coach, it would be the best case scenario if McElwain became a top flight...
Michigan currently has 6 commits. With a name like Harbaugh, you'd think they would be rolling in the commits begging to play there. So our situation isn't so bad...

It's the last few weeks... unless these kids are absolutely sure, they should wait. Last thing they need to do is to decommit, commit to Florida, decommit next week after another visit, and finally decommit again once they take their final ov.
For three star, and even some four stars, I want...
