UF historically does NOT take hopeless cases. UF historically does not take someone who failed a bunch of classes and repeated them as UF in the past averaged the grades of classes taken multiple times. This is why players that signed at AU at times in the past could not even visit UF.

Sure sometimes in the past guys either screwed up their core or core GPA in their final semester after signing or did not quite get the test score they need. But again UF does not have a history of signing hopeless cases.

Of course any new regime can always change that. And by new regime I mean in UF's UAA, admissions or president. These decision are well above the pay grade of a mere football coach. Of course given the SEC limit on signing, it would be silly for UF to change now and waste a signing slot on someone with no hope to qualify.

I guess we''ll hope and see what happens. There's a lot of talk on the webs about his grades though. It would seem he'll need to put in a LOT of work to be eligible. Game on.

Anyone have any idea how accurate this height and weight are?

That's Bama LB size.
based on the pictures I've seen, he's only 230 if he's got 30#s of rocks in his pockets

Crucial has made some good videos but that one wasnt great. Feel bad for the kid because it was largely inaudible.

Amazing get though. We have two blue chip ilbs in this class which we have sorely been lacking

If John Brown qualified, then he was not a hopeless case as a recruit. Unless he did some interview with the UAA, admissions or the UF president, they would not know. And even then he might be glib enough to talk over not being able to write. So I guess that is on the coaches that he had no hope as a student.

As I recall, Brown was/is dyslexic and also came to UF with an injured wrist. IMHO those and other factors fed into an overall struggle to adjust to college life. He did enroll, left for JuCo then signed with Ut but I don’t think that worked for him either.

Through the magic of google...

Slick Willie's class still looks like a redux of Chump's lopsided hauls.

16 commits featuring 5 DBs, 5 DEs, 2 OLs, 1 LB, 1 QB, 1 WR, 1 DT

We have no DEs in this class as of yet. If Hunter or Fuller are looking for playing time, then I'd assume with the glut of DEs in their class, our chances of flipping one of these guys should be good.

Man... the Black news has me super pumped. Great get for this class!

National Rank: 53
ILB Rank: 3

That is the type of blue chipper I like! Well done Danny! Let's keep up the momentum and get some more!

Is there anyone from Ohio State we might be interested in?

Creyer the Liar was making headway with WR recruit Elijah Higgins.

If his regime implodes then the chase for Higgins is back to down to us vs Stanford with Texas in the wings trying to get him to stay close to home.
