We have to be really heavy in the portal this year. Let’s add in some kids that we think we should be looking at.

I saw this one on 247. I think he should be at target of ours.

From the article:

Boise State wide receiver Eric McAlister, who leads the Broncos with 47 catches for 873 yards and five touchdowns this season, will enter the transfer portal next monthafter leaving the team on Monday. McAlister figures to be one of the 2024 portal cycle's top available pass-catchers given his production at Boise State with three 100-yard games in nine starts this fall as a 6-foot-4, 200-pound sophomore.

This guy doesn’t seem nearly productive enough to be offering a scholarship to. Averaging 3.5 sacks a year at an Ivy? With really no difference in production from year to year?

No thank you.

But is he better than what we have?

I'll take as many experienced, physically mature, big uglies as we can get.
I haven’t seen his film, so I don’t know how good he is. But I wouldn’t take bodies to just take bodies. We’ve been down this road in the past. It does not work.

But I am happy that we quickly offered him. It looks like our portal strategy has changed quite a bit.

Not sure if you’re kidding. But we definitely need a veteran wide receiver.
I'm not saying you don't take a good player that fills a hole (twss), but you posted two WRs right after creating this thread....I'm just saying I don't believe it's our biggest need.

I can already tell this thread will be just like the recruiting thread. Way too much information and far too many posts to keep up. I don’t know how y’all do it.
