This was discussed in chat box, but I think this has earned its own thread.

anyone who has driven from Tampa to the treasure coast or Palm Beach knows the desert inn in Yee Haw.

It’s been closed for a year, with hopes of a remodel. Now, It looks like another part of real Florida has died.

I never stopped inn (pun intended) but the history is awesome.

Junction of Fla 60 and US 441. Another iconic stop off place in Florida that has disappeared is Monroe Station on the Tamiamii Trail just east of Ochopee and between Naples and Miami.

I’ve only seen it on the way to vero beach and Okeechobee but it was something cool to witness and I’m glad I saw it

Driven by at least a hundred times, even when it was open it looked too dirty for a stop. I say good riddance.
