There's a rumor floating around that Franks has made some strides. He appears to be ahead of trask. He was the one working with the 2s last week. Doubt the coaches wanna add another qb with allen coming in next year too.

The kid was known to be a gamer in highschool. He was extremely raw when he got here and everyone was down on him after the spring game but there's a reason why he was so highly recruited.

We should have a decent lead on vandy by half time, Franks should get some snaps in, They shouldn't be worried about burning his redshirt as he needs the experience this year to be the starter next year. That will allow Allen time to RS and learn the system.

That isn't going to happen. This staff doesn't work like that. They are very, very conservative with QBs. If AA got hurt, I'd expect them to put a brace on LDR, a lot of tape, and send him out there.
We should have seen by now that new QBs aren't going to do anything but handoff for the first few games anyway. It wouldn't really be of value to Franks anyway.

Yeah, I remember that being floated around. It didn't square at all with what I saw of him and his teams.
Nusschamp's offenses have always been straight up shyyt, but we were promised he was just going to be the eyes in the box for the genius on the sideline.

UF once had a meritocracy at all positions including QB. Then Ron Zook came in an changed that. To me that was the beginning of the down fall of the great football program UF had. Meyer continued the Zook policy of being appointed QB rather than earning it which is why the problems at UF predate Meyer even though Meyer could coach well enough to mask this problem.
