MMA veteran 'Rumble' Johnson dies at age 38

Anthony "Rumble" Johnson died at age 38. A Bellator spokesman said he had been ill for more than a year.

Was a big fan of his, I always wanted to see him fight Jon Jones, even though he would’ve been a huge underdog.

Dang, always liked rumble. Knew he was having health issues but didn't expect to see this. So sad.

Fuchs. At 38, I’d say it was untimely as well. So sad.

Shocking. Rumble had quite a journey. He was cut from the UFC after missing weight at 185 and 2 years later came back to 205. The only guy he lost to at 205 was Cormier, but lost him twice. Very sad and way too young.

It was unbelievable that the guy used to cut down and fight at 170. Later in his career, he even fought at heavyweight and defeated Andrei Arlovski before deciding to cut down to 205. He was a menace to the 205 division for a while, and I felt at the time he was the only legitimate threat to Jon Jones because of his ko power.
