Anthony is the GT Transfer that was projected as a starter. With our Linebacking group, what's the deal with Harrell? Is he hurt? Is he just bad?

According to ESPN.com personal stat page, he hasn't recorded anything in NMSU, UK, UT, Ole Miss or LSU with only 1 tackle for ECU and Mizzu each. In 2014 he played in 13 games with 19 tackles.

Any news?

Hurt. I'm wondering more about McMillian. Is he hurt?

When will Anzalone be back? I thought he only needed some duct tape.

All he needed was some duct tape, but it has to stay on for 6 months apparently.

Who? With all the Morgan and Morgan talk I figured this was a Harrell and Harrell thread?

I would have gone with Farah and Farah, but that's just me.

Harrell has been doing a pretty good job on special teams, I specifically recall him blocking for Callaway on his punt return versus LSU and then chasing him in to the end zone as he scored (#48). Regarding action at LB, clearly the coaches don't trust him enough yet to spell Morrison or Davis, nor has he beaten out McMillan for the 3rd spot. Looks to have good size and decent speed, so it's hard to determine what the issue is. Here's the punt return where he does a nice job blocking:

No......he still looks to be about 205# and he is just awful. He did get into the LSU game and one of their offensive linemen launched him 20 yards through the air, end over end....Another upper 4-5 star bust IMO.

He needs to be on the Austin Hardin diet plan.

Remember two years ago when everyone said he looked the best of all the young backers? Wth happened?

Scarlett used all the duct tape to make sure he didn't fumble.

Agree. He was on the field on LSU's 1st TD in the goal line situation. He's been playing much more than I expected.

I don't think he was a "projected starter" though, not sure where the OP heard that. He was added for depth.

He was a projected starter at GT as a 5th year senior. Sorry I haven't noticed him or heard his named called. Kudos to you and T and anyone else that's noticed him. I guess I expected more than 2 tackles as a 5th year.

Who was the true freshman linebacker that produced the glowing reports in the preseason but appears to have disappeared? Seems that I recall players talking about how mature and ready to play he was but don't recall seeing any true freshmen making plays at linebacker/

Sometimes coaches will play a player who is not quite as good as another player if that player raises the level of play of everyone around him. I believe this is the case with Antonio Morrison. He's not the best inside LB by any stretch of anyone's imagination, but he leads the defense. Gets them into the correct positions and motivates them because of his miraculous recovery from his injury. The Defense loves, admires, and follows his leadership even though he isn't the best LB in the league.
