Horrible comparison. AR correctly makes reads that Franks didn’t even know about. The only thing wrong with his brain last night was his confidence (and what ever part controls ball placement).
I wouldn't say he is mentally slow, that suggests he's dumb. He's not dumb....he has a confidence issue.
He's been built up to be the second coming of Superman, and his physical abilities speak to that. What is clear though, is he hasn't been taught how to handle adversity, like at all. As soon as he's rattled, he's fuched.
This staff needs to coach him up, and quickly, how to forget the last play and dial in on the next. The best quarterbacks let nothing bother them.
This X1000.....Let's face it. For the time being, our talent level is no better than middling and certainly no better than Kentucky's, as difficult as it may be to swallow. We're going to live by the big play and turnovers
Every highlight he's had has been against inferior opponents if you really think about it. He did nothing special against UGA last year, didn't play against Bama or UCF due to injuries and most of his "highlights" came against the 2 D2 weaklings and FSU where he did OK but didn't really light it up.I don’t think it’s a confidence issue. He can’t see the field. He doesn’t have any finesse either, a couple of those passes looked to be thrown way too hard.
Let’s be honest, he got lucky on a couple throws and had a couple nice runs vs Utah last week.
If he is going to have Franks-like ups and downs, I hope Napier better be getting one of the other guys ready.
This X1000.....
I said it after the UCF game last year and peopled laughed.....here's the real truth for those willing to look under the hood...
Defensive line-UK is better than UF
Linebacker-UK is better than UF
Defensive backs-UK is better, maybe a toss up
Offensive line-UF better but still a toss up
Quarterback-UK is better than UF
RB- UF but it's within striking distance depending on game plan.
People this is UK were talking about....not Bama, UGA....we possibly have the 4th best talent in the SEC East.
Here we go again....don't get your panties in a wad.....yes they are wrong as proven by what takes place on the field plain and simple. So recruiting evaluations, draft projections, etc. are meaningless?
You've convinced me. Dude is a total bum. Pull his scholarshipI don’t think it’s a confidence issue. He can’t see the field. He doesn’t have any finesse either, a couple of those passes looked to be thrown way too hard.

You may have mistaken the one play but you were spot on with the rest.I disagree. It was showing his youth and inexperience.
IIRC, that throw was incomplete. And it's because the ball was thrown too hard and the receiver was NOT open. That throw could have been tipped up where it would have been intercepted.
It's smarter to either hit his ck down, run it or throw it away.
This is essentially year 1 for AR so he doesn't have the experience necessary to know better but AR will lose games for UF if he continues to think those type scenarios are "open" vs playing smart.
[Edit: I misunderstood the play you referenced. I agree, that was a helluva play.]
Correct. His ceiling is very high. Maybe last night will motivate him like the loss to Ole Piss did to Tim.Had no touch tonight. Lots of overthrows early. Just plain inaccurate in the 2nd half. He’s got a high ceiling, but he just wasn’t good tonight. No way to sugarcoat it.
Put time into special teams. Frank Beamer made a living doing it with mediocre O and D. Biggest bang for the buck. Find existing players that have "it" for special teams play.Kentucky had a game plan for Florida. Don't let the quarterback beat you. As Cover noted in his recap, there were no inside lanes. The outside was contained. That put added pressure on Richardson, who was making just his third start. Why he chose to be as transparent about his mental struggles escapes me. He just invited more of the same from future defenses.
Let's face it. For the time being, our talent level is no better than middling and certainly no better than Kentucky's, as difficult as it may be to swallow. We're going to live by the big play and turnovers. Neither was working in our favor last night. And yet if you change a few plays, the outcome could have been very different.
No need to jump yet. Hang in there. Work, teach, learn. Believe.

Truth is we won't know what difference the coaching makes until probably the 5th or 6th game.
As far as recruiting rankings go we have what I used to call the "Notre Dame" effect. Meaning that from the moment UF offers a recruits rankings go up.....doesn't make them a better player when the rubber meets the road....doesn't make them grow that extra 20-30lbs they need in CFB, doesn't make them study film with their extra time either.....
I knew you were dirty.I don’t wear panties. And you’re still wrong. We will be “out-talented” by 3 teams this season. And we haven’t seen any of them yet. Now, I don’t disagree that the disparity is nowhere near what it used to be. That’s partly to Stoops’ credit and partly our own doing. But there’s a reason even guys like WM, Zook and JM didn’t lose to Uk, and it has nothing to do with their coaching abilities. Sooner or later, one of our guys would step up and win it. We aren’t light years beyond them like during much of the SS or UM days, but we have more talent regardless of what you insist. We lose games like last night because we were properly motivated and/or coached. Nothing more.
What's worrisome is you had already thought of that subject.I knew you were dirty.
