This list puts way too much emphasis on current standings (other than ND).
Alabama is penalized for disappearing from the top 25 for periods of time. Ohio State has more consistent over the years. For instance, the Gators earned more points in the 90's than they did in next decade despite winning two national titles. So Ohio State with five national titles gets ranked ahead of Alabama with 10 national titles on the basis of the Buckeyes having been ranked higher in the polls more often.
No. 1, who gives a crap where you were ranked in October? No. 2, college football for too long was not a lot different than diving or figure skating -- too reliant on subjective analysis.
We need an eight-team playoff.

It's actually a pretty good spot for us, considering that our program was really a 2nd tier (at best) program for the first 50 of the 80 years represented here. I bet if you did the same analysis for the past 30 years, we'd be much higher.
In that case, I'm surprised Tenercee isn't ranked a lot higher. They weigh the September and October rankings just as highly as the final rankings. Its just stupid.
However, it means Georgia FINALLY gets recognition for all those preseason and September championships.
