Projected as top 10 pick next year by ESPN. Not just by ESPN but there’s a lot of projections coming out right now that have him as a top 10 pick.

Insane that Mullen just kept him on the bench.

We better have a QB ready to replace him…

If he lives up to that hype, we should be able to enjoy the season. Wanted to see him start for more than 1 season, but I'll take a big jumpstart to the CBN era if it means fun football and a boost to recruiting.

Edit: oh yeah, and mullen is a stubborn idiot.

The chances he did get, like Georgia, he split reps all week with a game plan tailored to Jones.
What pisses me off is the media like drooly now saying they knew Mullen had a screw loose, but never called him out. Not even for a decision as ridicules as playing Jones because he was a upper classmen.

So, if Napier benches him, we can keep him ANOTHER year!

Everyone wants to throw Miller out with the trash at this point but I think he could be much better than he looked in the spring game. New system, new coaches for everybody and he played with the bottom of a WR room that is severely lacking. Not saying he will be the guy to replace AR next year or not, just saying I don't think the spring game is the measuring stick. I remember Trask not looking good in the spring games with a lot of forced throws.

You are absolutely right, I think we better have a QB spun up ready to go to replace AR and if it isn't Miller then Im not sure who it will be because I don't think we are going to find a high schooler ready to start next year. What would make it a lot better is scoring some talented WRs.

Maybe Max Brown balls out, but trying to be realistic.

Stricklin fired Mullen for instubbornation.
Still, last year AR starred in spurts. He did not take over the season. we saw top potential, but potential applies to unexecuted processes. It points to talent yet to be used.
Maybe AR wants more wins = SEC title + Heisman, etc. I would whine if this 2022 were AR's last season here ... I need, I need.

from Top 10 money?

You’ve list your mind. Lol
If he or anyone is projected that high, I can’t see them staying. But is there a situation where NIL could be a factor in an athlete staying?

Yes, I believe if a kid is on the fence or is projected in the later rounds that NIL + the possibility of moving up the draft board could entice him to stay.

According to an article by Sports Illustrated they’re saying except for the extreme outliers most FBS big NIL deals are about 100K a year. NBA draft is only two rounds. So if you’re not projected to be in the two rounds, I would think people would stay in school with an NIL deal.

If you’re looking at going in the NFL I would say it if you’re projected to go in round four or later, it may be a good idea to do NIL. Mainly because you’re pretty much not guaranteed a roster spot. But I’m pretty sure that the NFL contracts are guaranteed even if you get hurt. I’m not so sure NIL is.

Very typical. They loved Urbs until he was gone. They loved Muschamp until he was gone. They LOVED BBQ sauce boy until he was gone. It's what they do. In reality they have no clue.

I remember this time last year sites were saying EJ would be a top 15 selection as well. AR may very well be, but these media sites just throw out crap for clicks.

Well, of course Dooley and the ass hat call-in show host on WRUF, who verbally assaulted anyone who dared to suggest that DM was the problem and not the answer, both come readily to mind. Throw in a bevy of world-class idiots at ESPN and SECN, plus the ten thousand random fools with a microphone or a keyboard that populate the internet, and you've got a pretty good start on identifying at least the tip of the momo iceberg to whom the earlier post alluded. I recall that Dan Orloff flipped his lid over DM's firing to the point that even the studio guy was making wisecracks about the UF bashing being a little over the top. And don't get me started on Paul F-Bomb and the crackhead garbage he continues to shovel our way on a continuing basis. Just a start, to be sure, but hopefully I've aided the search for "them/they" to some small extent.

What should be taken from this is we only have AR for one year. We need to make it count. Even if he has a mediocre year or gets hurt, he's gone.
