Former Nebraska coach Bo Pelini is taking the head-coaching job at Youngstown State.

The school is expected to introduce him as the football team's new coach Wednesday. Pelini is a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, Ohio.

He's from Youngstown, but this seems like a really big step down. I thought he might take some time off or possibly go after one of the DC positions out there.

He didn't have the DC offers that WM did, so what were his options?

He probably still has family there. He's a midwest guy. He's made a ton of money. Maybe sick of the pressure cooker.

Figured he would land at a bigger school than Youngstown.

Makes sense. Mullen says it's a lateral move.

Interesting introductory comments from Pelini:

"It's so nice to be back in Youngstown. You've always been so great to my wife and I. I know many of you are happy to see us return. And to any of you that aren't, I say **** you! You already make me ******g sick to my stomach."

All in favor of making Bo Pellini US ambassador to Russia say, "Aye".
