The boys in Vegas are right 90% of the time if not more. Like the AU/Clemson game. I think the line was Clemson -6.5. Crazy right? You would think Clemson would win by at least 2-3 TD's. Auburn covered. Vegas made a fortune off that game.

Yep and money poured in on Clemson to drive the line all the way to Clemson -9 at kickoff.

UK gave up 44 points to Southern Miss, at home! While we aren't the Gators of old, we are still capable of beating the sh!t out of UK. Here is the ledge, take multiple steps back and enjoy the rest of the long weekend.

Problem is there's another ledge one step to the rear.

Or possibly they think UK is more worse this year than UF is? Also of course the game is at home this year rather than away.

I would go with this. Also, no matter how 'good' UK is and 'crappy' UF is, we find a way to steam roll them.

It was all last minute stuff too. I have a buddy in Vegas who runs a little pool for about 20 people and they jumped on Clemson late, probably helping to drive up the spread. The Clemson game pretty much ruined any winnings they had made elsewhere over the weekend. I've gotten over the betting bug and only like to play along, like here at GCMB. I prefer to spend my $$ on other things. :bandit:

Down $100. I won one (less than 2 INTs for LDR) and lost one (we didn't come close to covering the spread).
This week, I bet on us scoring more than 25 and getting at least one Interception.

I put real money on us covering. We've cover game 1 the last 3-4 years. Why wouldn't we cover this year with the dedication of the field?

A disappointing performance, no doubt. I feel lucky that I was hiking/camping with family and friends over the weekend and missed having to watch it. Glad I only watched the highlights. It's the first game though - the knee jerk reactions around here are interesting to read.

The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat are amplified
10-fold when real money is on the line. My BP skyrockets enough without cash at stake.
