Tennessee will forever be indebted for Butch's incredible contributions to the University
How does he own the Vols?
Agreed but just think of the fun of having toothless vol fans with a coach named Jim Bob Cooter! Hopefully we have a better coach but the memes alone.
I'm hoping they really do pay Gruden 10 million a year.
The correct last name should read Haslam. Jimmy Haslam's brother is the current Governor of Tennessee BTW.
He is, Haslam is who he is talking about.
Mac never connected to the fans, players or anything Gator related.
Now Butch has all the time he needs for his upcoming Champions of Life tour. Reserve your seats now.
Time for Peyton to come home and save the day!!!!!!
This will be an epic meltdown for the Vols. Love their misery!
Tennessee, and defensive line coach Brady Hoke will take over as interim head coach. Darren Rovell adds that Tennessee owes Butch Jones $8.23 million with 3 years, and 3 1/2 months left on his contract at $2.5 million per year, which will be offset by the salary of a future coaching job. http://footballscoop.com/the-scoop-2/scoop-sunday-november-12-2017/
Jon Gruden: Jason La Canfora reports, “according to league sources,” that some believe that this may be the year that Gruden leaves the analyst booth, and La Canfora goes on to cite a return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Tennessee Titans as the two teams that may intrigue him the most.
Interesting side fact I heard this week on a national radio broadcast. Behind closed doors...Gruden does want to go back to coaching at some point. Also, they noted that he knows that his job at ESPN also has a shelf life. ESPN will not be renewing their football contract so Gruden will be out of a job. Now, he would be a hot commodity as an analyst too.
ESPN is also laying off/not renewing about 100 employees after Thanksgiving.
The NFL and NBA contracts are causing them to lose money I think. I haven't seen the numbers but I think they are hurting pretty bad.
I would die if they just kept Brady Hoke. Would be to much. I would actually prefer they don't get Cooter. He's a good NFL OC and if he sticks there he might get a HC job and with kids these days they might commit just to play for a guy named Jim Bob.
Watching their Press Conf. UF is in good shape. Their AD is like a Robot and paired with Fulmer will be no match to Stricklin and Spurrier.
Reading volnation is hilarious. That group is is full on delusional.
