He's lucky he didn't get killed. That truck is far down the street from the impact point, the impact didn't happen on that bridge. He likely was moving at a good clip, but that car pulled out in front of him and he swerved to miss it and flipped three or four times.

Okay, an allegedly credible news source, ESPN, is reporting Newton does indeed have two bone breaks -- not the legs, but lower vertebrae. Not good if you plan to play quarterback in the NFL.

Transverse processes, not the body. Same injury Tony Romo got and played a couple weeks later. It will probably depend on how much pain he has, but nothing too serious if the report is accurate.

I went out for lunch today and just happened to look at google maps on my way back to the office wondering if there was a quicker way. Noticed there was an accident that had just been reported from the way I came so I worked my way around it. Got back to the office and found out a few minutes later they'd just transported Cam to other hospital in uptown. Hopefully he comes out with all his fingers and toes.
